  Hi,

  We have a new site coming up for trailcupkuopio.wordpress.com (that uses trailcupkuopio.com -domain right now). My question is that how can i do redirects to that site from the domain trailcupkuopio.com, for the TLD and all of the old content pages? The new site is a wordpress.org, self-hosted site. Do I need to ask for the domain transfer or what?

  Hi @sampsadaavitsainen, as long as the domain is still registered through us and has mapping here, it can automatically redirect.

  Basically you would:
  – Point the domain to a new host
  – Make sure the domain is primary for your WordPress.com site

  Then if someone visits trailcupkuopio.wordpress.com, it will forward to trailcupkuopio.com which will go on and forward them to the site at the new host.

  The other alternative (if you don’t want to keep the domain registered here) is to go ahead and get a site redirect. More details here:
