Domain/e-mail transfers or mapping

  Hi,
  Our organization is in the process of moving our website to a wordpress-based site. It is currently written in code managed by a third-party and we like the idea of being able to manage it ourselves. I’ve built the new site on WordPress and am now considering our options for transferring the domain we currently own. Our current domain includes an email address and it’s important to us to keep the same email address. Can we do that if we transfer the domain or would you suggest mapping the domain instead?

  Hi there, what is the domain name? I’m not seeing any domains or upgrades associated with your username.

  We haven’t upgraded yet, we’ll be doing so shortly. We own cateringplus.org but for the ease of maintenance we’re switching to WordPress.

  Have you built the site here on WordPress.com or on another hosting provider?

  If you’re hosting your site elsewhere you’ll need to talk with your host about your domain and your email.
