domain / email vortex of non-skilled doom

Hi there, I hope you can help me. I am not a programmer in any stretch of the imagination.

I have the domain bridgeclarity.com registered with namecheap and I have that domain pointing to my blog with you. I have the premium service.

Since I changed the domain to point to my blog, now my email with that domain does not work ((email visible only to moderators and staff)).

So, the namecheap people told me what I had to do to fix it, but it’s totally confusing and requires me to look at 2 different help documents and then a data source. Not happening.

But then I realized that with my premium service I could probably transfer the domain registration to wordpress anyway and avoid all this hassle.

So — can you help me fix my email address, either by helping me change the settings OR just transferring the whole kit and kaboodle over to wordpress?

    Thanks

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

WordPress.com isn’t able to accept incoming domain transfers, so you’ll need to keep the domain registered with Namecheap (or another domain registrar). But I’d be happy to help you get the email set up and working!

If you’re feeling up to it, we have a guide for setting up your email here: Add Email through other providers

But if you don’t want to mess with that, please just let me know what information the folks at Namecheap gave you and I can help you enter everything on this end. :)

Thank you so much! My Geek Squad guy was able to get the email working again. I appreciate your insights on the domain too. Darn.

You’re welcome! I’m glad your email is up and running again, and just let me know if I can do anything more to help. :)
