domain expiration
-
I just logged onto WordPress to add a post and it seems as though my domain expired 20 days ago. I have looked through all my emails and see no emails regarding the upcoming expiration of my domain.
My son was keeping this website updated for me the past 2 years and he passed away last year, but the email address listed for contact is my email address.
I would like to renew my domain name. How do I go about doing this? I am aware that there might be an $80 fee to retrieve the domain name.
Thank you kindly.

Hi there,
Are you referring to the domain maryannsfiberarts.com? If so, that domain subscription is not under your account, but most likely under your son’s. The site may be under your name but the subscription is not.
If you were interested in accessing his account and the upgrade, we’ll be able to transfer ownership of the WordPress.com account to you if you send us the following:
* A copy of the deceased user’s death certificate
* A power of attorney or legal document stating your authority to act on behalf of the deceased, or a signed, notarized statement including:
– Your first and last name
– Your current contact information
– Your email address
– Your relationship to the deceased user
– The action you’re requesting (e.g., Please transfer ownership of the account.)You can email the scanned documents or mail them to this address:
Automattic Inc.

Thanks!
