Domain Expiration

Looks like our domain expired a month ago and I cannot find a way to renew it through my Wp account at all.
Not sure what to do next! Site and email down. Ugh!
I also need to update my contact email address as I missed the notifications due to an old email address logged in my account. And it won’t save the new one saying it is already being used!?

That domain has already been removed from our system and is currently in redemption with our registrar. It is still possible for me to recover the domain at this point, but our registrar charges a $80 fee to restore a domain from redemption. I’ll need you to agree to that fee before I can get the recovery process started.
As for the email address, if the system says it’s already in use, please log out of this account and clear your browser cache and cookies, and then try doing a password reset for that email address. That should allow you to access the account currently associated with that email, and you’ll be able to see what username and site is associated with that account. You’ll first need to change the email for that account to something else to free up the email address, and then you’ll be able to use it for this account.

Also, I’ll need the email address for THIS account to be a valid one in order to send you a payment link for the domain redemption, so please update that first before you reply to confirm if I should try to recover the domain for you.

We do have access to the old email on file so we can keep using it for this process. We’ll update the email address later.

Thanks for confirming. I’ve sent you a payment link to the email address associated with this account. Once we receive payment we can contact our registrar to restore the domain and from there it usually takes a day or two as it’s a manual process on their end. Should the recovery fail, your payment will be refunded in full.
