Domain Expiration, Unable to Edit WordPress

    My custom domain expired about 1.5 years ago; however, I was hoping to restart my WordPress blog now. I’m okay with not using a custom domain, and instead having “.wordpress.com” at the end of my domain, but I cannot seem to gain access to my old account since the expired domain is still associated with it. I cannot edit settings on “My Site” and will continually get a “Please Check your Primary Site’s Jetpack connection.” I’m unsure of how to best remove the old custom domain from being associated with my WordPress account and restart with a new free domain. Any help would be much appreciated!
