Domain expired??

  Hi ,

  I have noticed that my website is not longer showing up. When I try to loggin to WordPress and go to my website I get the message that I dont have any WordPress site. I am not sure what is the issue, perhaps th domain has expired ? and if so, How can I recover it?

  Please can anyone check on this and help. Thank you.

  Also when I go to ”Purchase” section , it gives me the message that ”You don’t have any WordPress sites yet”. I know my website was with WordPress but what has happened to it?

  According to whois info that domain expired long time ago and is available for sale. Are you sure your site was running on the wordpress.com platform or was it selfhosted meaning it used the open source wordpress.org.

  I am actually not sure 100% as i was not dealing with this until recently. Is it possible that its been purchased by somebody else and if so, how can I find out whom and get it back? Thanks a lot.

  That domain hasn’t been bought by someone else yet. And if so, there is no way you can claim your former domain.

  okay, so would you recommend I should contact WordPress to restore it? As I cant seem to find other ways of making it available and visible again

  So, I checked our records and found that the domain tanningbeautylaser.co.uk was never hosted by us at WordPress.com. While it’s available for registration, which means you can register it with us and start a new WordPress.com site, if you’re looking for your existing site, you’d need to contact your hosting service provider where your self-hosted WordPress.org site was hosted.
