Domain from different country

  Hello,
  Can anyone please help me with my query? I am building website in wordpress.com in Ireland but this website will be used in different country ( in Poland) I don`t have domain purchased yet but I will have to buy soon and my question is how I can do this? I saw in my dashboard option for upgrade Free domain with a plan but unfortunately there is no option for getting domain with a “.pl”. So the only option I have is go to polish domain provider and purchase polish domain? and then go back to wordpress and map my already purchased domain with additional fee? Is there any chance that I can buy domain with “.pl” in wordpress and do everything with wordpress? Thank you in advance for any help.

  Yes, you can build a free site on WordPress.com and it comes with a free address – that is not the same as using a custom domain which is what you’ve written about.

  In order to use a custom domain, you would need an upgraded plan. It doesn’t matter if the domain is registered to us, or pointed to us through mapping, that plan would be required.

  Knowing that, I would advise that you purchase the desired domain and then map it to your account here.

  The plan features, costs, and details are available for comparison on https://wordpress.com/pricing/ I suggest starting with the personal option, as it is the cheapest, and you can upgrade later on if need be.
