Domain @ GoDaddy
-
Hi,
I have an existing domain at GoDaddy. Is it possible (when it expires) to have this domain transferred so that WordPress both hosts a site on the domain, as well as having the domain AT WordPress? It would really simplify my life to have just one bill, to WordPress. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes you can if you purchase an upgraded WordPress.com plan. See: https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/

Hi there,
Please don’t let your domain at GoDaddy expire. Domain expiration is a process that takes around 80 days and during this time GoDaddy could sell your domain at auction, in which case it will never be released and you won’t be able to register it here again. And even if they don’t sell it at auction, it could be on back order somewhere or someone else could just buy it the moment it’s released, in which case you’ll lose it – there are businesses who specifically buy up recently-expired domains to sell them back to the original owners at a profit, so please don’t make the mistake of thinking no one else will buy it because it’s your name, or something like that.
If you want to use the domain here on WordPress.com, I recommend you consider transferring it here as per the instructions @themagicrobot linked to above. You’ll need to transfer the domain before it expires at GoDaddy.
