Hi there,
We will need to email our registrar to ask them to restore the domain, but they charge a $80 fee to do that. Let me know if you agree to this fee, and I can get the process started.

Thanks for confirming. I’ve sent you a payment link via email. Once we receive payment, I can contact our registrar to ask them to restore the domain.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for letting me know. I’ve emailed our registrar. They usually restore domains in a day or two, so hopefully it will be active again by tomorrow. I’ll let you know once they reply.

Your domain has been restored, but you will need to reverify your email address before it will work. I’ve sent you an email with a verification link. The email will come from a @secureserver.net address.
Once you verify it, the domain should start showing your Hostgator site again.

Hello Kokkieh,
I haven’t received the email with verification link.
but I visited the website and it looks like it’s live and working. -
It is working, yes, but unless you verify it it will be suspended and stop working in a few days.
The verification email was sent to the hotmail address appearing in your domain contacts. Please check that it didn’t go to Spam, and also try searching your email account for the word, “secureserver”.
I’ve resent the email as well.

Right. Changing the domain contact email address fires off two separate emails from our registrar. One to the old address, and one to the new address, each containing a verification link. You need to click both to change the address, and that will also verify the domain.
In some cases a third email is also sent to your WordPress.com account address, which in this case is the same hotmail address as you have on the domain.
Do you still have access to that email at all? If not, please update it in your account settings here:
https://wordpress.com/me/account/
Then you’ll probably need to update the domain contact details again so all the emails are again triggered at our registrar. This should send both emails to your Gmail account, so you’ll be able to verify both from there.
I realise this is incredibly convoluted and I apologise for that. But the regulations regarding domain contact info changes got more complex in December last year, and our registrar did not pick the smartest way to implement those changes, so currently this is the only way to do this.

Our logs don’t show any changes to your domain contact information since it was restored. Did you change it at this link?

I do notice now your account email address contains an underscore _ while your domain contact email doesn’t. Which one should it be? If it should contain the _ then please edit it at the link I gave above to fix the typo and you should receive the email.
-
I was able to log in and update the email.
It should have the _.
And I received the confirmation email for the change. -
Excellent. Sorry I didn’t spot the typo earlier.
Your domain shows as verified now, so you shouldn’t have any further problems :)
