  Hi, I no longer have access to the control panel to transfer the domain that i have with wordpress.com. Without the access, it is impossible to transfer it??…

  Hi massagebyfiona,

  Thanks. I can restore massagebyfiona.com — the domain was cancelled outside of the refund period so there won’t be any extra charge or me to do so.

  The site massagebyfiona.wordpress.com has already been deleted but if you create a new site in your massagebyfiona account, I can restore the domain there. Once the domain has been restored, I can give you some information about transferring it.

  Is this something you would like to move ahead with?

  With Go-daddy I was redirecting my Domain name temporary to wordpress.com Started the WordPress creation Process on your webpage and the same “Blog” Domain name was available to use as as a temporary blog. During this process I has to log in with Google auth. Then it just logged me into my account. Tried to tie in my domain http://www.aerialguardians.net to the blog and now it says it was taken.

  Went through the Godady process for temporary forward to wordpress and it still says our AG domain is not available for blog use.

  How do I get this back. What can we do?

  Thanks for confirming, I’ve restored massagebyfiona.com to your new site:

  You mentioned transferring the domain in your original post. It will be possible to transfer the domain 60 days after the registration date. This 60 day lock is required by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and cannot be waived:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/move-domain/transfer-domain-registration/

  massagebyfiona.com was registered on 16th November 2017 so the domain should be ready for transfer around 15th January 2018. The good news is massagebyfiona.com can be pointed to a different site until it is ready for transfer. Do you want to use the domain for a site hosted elsewhere?

  Hi massagebyfiona,

  You’re welcome! The name servers for massagebyfiona.com are already pointing away from WordPress.com, to a site hosted by SiteGround. If this is the site you wish to use the domain for, there is nothing more you need to do until January when the domain is ready for transfer.

  At that time, massagebyfiona.com can be transferred away from WordPress.com using these steps:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/move-domain/transfer-domain-registration/#preparing-the-domain-transfer

  Just to note — you will need to give the transfer code to your domain provider in order to initiate the transfer.

  gemmacevans, I eventually figured out how to point the site to siteground.

  Thanks again, so much! Hopefully transferring over in January will go ok, but I will get in touch if not.
