  I need help– I already have a domain but I’m not sure if transferring my domain over to wordpress will change my address – When trying to do so it shows my domain then (dot) wordpress.com – is that the way it will show when clients do a search? that’s too long. I wouldn’t want wordpress to show

  Visitors to the site are not going to see the free site option which is the .wordpress.com one. They’ll see your domain in their browsers.

  The domain transfer will take about 5 days to complete. That process is detailed on this page:
