Domain Help
-
I secured a domain and started creating a site on WordPress. As I progressed, I realized that I had made a mistake and needed to start over. In deleting the site, I mistakenly deleted the domain, or for whatever reason, I no longer have access to it? Reached out to support email but limited response. The response given was that I needed to send a help request with the email used on my account, which I did several times. The email is an alias for my main company Gmail, but that should not have mattered. Still seeking help as I was working on a site for a client. Thanks for any timely support that can be provided.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @brainywizard,
I’m sorry to hear you’re stuck on this, especially with a client project on the line!
The good news is that accidentally deleted domains on WordPress.com can often be recovered within a grace period, so it’s absolutely worth pushing for a resolution. The fact that you’ve already been in touch with support and provided your account email is a solid start.
One thing worth double checking is whether the alias email you’re using matches exactly what’s registered on your WordPress.com account. Even small differences can cause verification issues on their end, so if you have access to the primary Gmail address behind the alias it may be worth trying that instead when you follow up.
For the follow up itself, head to https://wordpress.com/help/contact and reference your previous tickets so they can see the full history. Mentioning that this is for a client and time sensitive may also help flag it for faster attention.
Hang in there, hopefully they get back to you very soon!
Best regards,
Guilherme

Hey @brainywizard
So glad to hear it’s sorted! If you run into anything else while working on your client’s site don’t hesitate to come back.
Good luck with the project!
