Hello Emily,
Thanks for your question! I took a look at your domain settings and noticed that WordPress.com is not your domain registrar. I am seeing that ENOM, or a reseller of the ENOM registrar, is currently your domain registrar:
http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/results.jsp?domain=emilyturnerphoto.comYour domain is currently pointed to your WordPress.com site because your domain’s Name Servers are pointed to ours:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COMIn order to point the domain to your new provider, you will need to update your name server setting to their preferred settings. ENOM has published this information on their help center, which you can reach after you login to your account:

I bought my domain through namecheap.com, they said I have to do it from the WordPress end. I’m just confused. Thanks so much.

Hi Emily!
I’m sorry for the confusion here. Since your domain is registered through NameCheap, you’ll need to log into your account there to make this change to your name servers. This might be a good place to start:
I’m not sure why they’d tell you differently, but let me know if you continue to have trouble changing your DNS settings
