Domain host transfer – lost data

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi, I transferred my website from Eurologon to Bluehost, but unfortunately I did not back upload the wordpress files, and I did not make a backup. So now the situation is the following: website – thinkinlaw.com – is gone, and I don’t know where to recover the files. Apparently, I cannot access the old admin wordpress account where the files where stored. Do you know how I can recover my website files?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hopefully Eurologon has some backup files of your site otherwise everything is lost forever. Also note these forums are for sites on the wordpress.com platform and your site uses the open source wordpress.org. Their support is at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

  • Hi there,

The WordPress.org forums won’t be able to help in this case, as this isn’t an issue with the WordPress software, but with your hosting.

Please contact your original host and find out if they still have a copy of your site on their servers. If they do, please contact Bluehost support to help you upload that to your new site.

If Eurologon no longer have a copy of your site’s content, then there’s nothing you can do.
