I am happy with my current Domain Hosting with Hostpapa. Does this prevent me using WordPress for my blog? My website is also linked to my Facebook page
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I’m not sure what you are asking.
If you’re using hosting with Hostpapa, your site is not a WordPress.com site, but would be using the open source WordPress software found on WordPress.org. That is something different from WordPress.com.
If you mean you want to use your Hostpapa domain with your WordPress.com site, http://gortnaleegarden.wordpress.com/, you can do that as well. In that case you’ll need a paid WordPress.com plan to connect the domain to your WordPress.com site via our domain mapping upgrade, and then we will be your hosting provider, not Hostpapa – in this scenario Hostpapa would only be your domain provider, not your host.

I have a website on Hostpapa with the domain name gortnaleegarden.com It is linked to my Facebook page. I do not wish to change this. I have a BLOG on WordPress which I linked to my Facebook page. What I don’t understand is why WordPress are saying my domain is not active. I am paid up with the people I bought the domain from and am also paid up with the hosting company. Is it not possible for me to have my blog only on WordPress?

Where exactly are you seeing that your domain is not active?
You have two sites with WordPress.com: the blog at http://gortnaleegarden.wordpress.com/ and an empty site at https://borrisinossory.wordpress.com/
The site at http://gortnaleegarden.com/ is a completely separate site, and has nothing at all to do with your WordPress.com account. That site is using the open source WordPress software found on WordPress.org, and is hosted on Hostpapa’s servers. There is no connection at all between that site and WordPress.com, so we can’t be showing you any messages regarding that domain.
