Domain info

    Hi there, I have already paid $160 for 3 years of domain hosting through GoDaddy. I would prefer to use WordPress for my website creation, but since I’ve paid for my domain already I’d prefer to not be charged for my domain through WP. Please advise!

    Hi there,

    If you paid GoDaddy for hosting, then you need to contact them for help installing the open source WordPress.org software on your hosting plan with them.

    The forum you’re posting in now is for WordPress.com, a completely different hosting provider for WordPress, like GoDaddy, and you only need to pay us if you want to host your site here instead of at GoDaddy.

    Support for the WordPress software you’d be using at GoDaddy is provided by the WordPress.org community at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
