Domain is parked
-
I recently deleted my wp site and moved to bluehost with the same domain. Once I launched my site, it says that the domain parked though. Bluehost support hasn’t been able to help transfer. They’ve told me that the site needs to point away from WP. The domain is tellmemoreblog.com.
WP.com: Yes
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
From what I can see you cancelled your domain on 1/26 and it was removed from your account. As a result we are no longer in control of your domain, and it has been returned to the registry to start it’s 90 day redemption period before it is returned to the public for sale again.
To clarify, you wish to continue to use this domain? If so please let us know so we can recover it and restore it to your account. Thanks!

Yes I want to continue it. With bluehost the domain is http://box2511.temp.domains/~tellmem8/.
Thanks for the response!

Thanks for the additional info!
To clarify, Bluehost is an independent provider of WordPress sites (our companies are not directly connected) so we are not able to help with this
However, the good news is that this is something that Bluehost support can help you with. You can reach them here: https://www.bluehost.com/contact
Hope this helps point you in the right direction!

I contacted blue host support first and they were unable to help. They directed me to WP

I just contacted Bluehost and they said that I could ask wordpress to transfer the domain to their servers using ns1.bluehost.com or ns2.bluehost.com. Can you help with this?

Hi there,
As staff-totoro mentioned in their first reply, your domain is in redemption. This means that it needs to be recovered first before you can update its nameservers or transfer it.
I see that it is still possible for me to recover the domain at this point, but our registrar charges an $80 fee to restore a domain from redemption. Let me know if you agree to that fee and I can get the recovery process started.
