  hi i am not able to add my domain for free

  That’s correct. Domains require the personal plan upgrade. Those details are at https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  Once the plan is added you’ll be able to connect the domain through mapping or a direct transfer if it is eligible. Click on My Sites – Manage – Domains -Add New
