  Are you able to remove the primary domain?

  Hi there,

  You cannot have a site without a primary domain, no.

  If you mean remove the free *.wordpress.com address, then no, that cannot be removed, as removing that will also delete your site. But you can connect your own domain to your site and set that as primary, and then that domain will show instead of the free address:
