Domain issues with WordPress

Hi WordPress, how do I point my WordPress account to a domain I previously bought from WordPress? WordPress is my service provider but I don’t know how to fix this problem. I previously set thehopefultree.com from my blog account to my business website. Now I have terminated the business website services and I want to put my blog back (thehopefultree.wordpress.com) to thehopefultree.com

I have done the pointing under domain section but it still shows the error message from my business site services. I called them and they said that they have deleted the records for the system and that it’s WordPress baby from here. But there is no support number to call for WordPress and I’m lost.

I read the dns page and tried to change dns but I dunno how. Gosh I never experienced such issues before. Now I know after buying a domain from wordpress to use for a blog, stick with it cause if you change it it will be hell to get it back to WordPress

  • http://thehopefultree.com/ appears to be working properly. Here’s what I see: http://d.pr/i/cO6m/3jooggCT

When a domain is registered or altered, there is a process called propagation, where information about the domain name is passed to internet service providers all over the world. This process can take up to 72 hours (though usually much less). During that time, you may also receive a warning message in your browser about “redirect errors”. Unfortunately, we have no control over this as it all depends on how often your internet service provider updates their records. Please rest assured that everything is proceeding normally with your domain.

You can continue to update your site while your custom domain propagates, by going directly to your Dashboard, here:
    https://thehopefultree.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

If you still have trouble viewing the site after 72 hours has passed, please try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clear-your-cache-and-cookies

If that doesn’t work, try clearing your local DNS cache:

Please let me know if you have any more questions.
