Domain kolibri.wordpress.com taken, but apparently not in use. Can it be freed?

  Hallo WordPress.com

  I tried to start creating kolibri.wordpress.com, but apparently someone tried some experiments with that name in 2006. So it’s not free anymore… :-(
  I had a look at kolibri.wordpress.com but it seems completely abandoned since 2006.
  Is there any chance that kolibri.wordpress.com can be freed again so I can start to use it?

  Yes, it’s possible. However, there is no expiration date on a WordPress.com website address, and no requirement that it be active at any time after creation.

  You may leave a comment at https://kolibri.wordpress.com/, if comments are enabled. If you want the address, it is your responsibility to do the work of trying to acquire it. In order for the address to come into your possession, you’d have to convince an Administrator of the site to transfer it to you described in the Transferring a Site to Another WordPress.com Account support page.

  That would be unfortunate for you. However, no rules are being broken, so I don’t think that WordPress.com will under the circumstances invest any time trying to track the blog owner down.
