Domain Locked

  Hello,

  I just accidentally purchased my domain on here instead of on BlueHost, as I want to use custom themes. Now that I canceled my original WordPress.com order, they said my domain will be locked for 5 days!!! Is there anyway you could unlock it now so I could purchase it on my host website? I can’t wait 5 days and I can’t begin designing until I get me website :( wirtzandrew.com is the url

  Hi there,

  As the warning said on the page where you cancelled the domain, cancelled domains are not released immediately. I can still restore that domain and then help you map it to Bluehost, but there is no way to manually release the domain.

  Okay. I’ve uncancelled the domain. As your original payment was refunded I’ve emailed you a payment link for the cost of the domain.

  Then I’ll also need you to create a new free site to which I can connect it so that you will be able to access its settings:

  https://wordpress.com/start/site/

  Lastly, I’ll need Bluehost’s name servers. You should be able to find that in your control panel with them in the section where you connect your domain, but otherwise their support will be able to provide those to you.

  Hi I made a new free site with a random name, if that is what you mean.

  Under name servers I found this

  ns1.bluehost.com 162.159.24.80
  ns2.bluehost.com 162.159.25.175

  Let me know if that is correct.

  Perfect. Your domain is now reactivated and the name servers are pointed to Bluehost.

  It can take up to 72 hours for the name servers to update, but your domain should start showing your Bluehost site within a few hours.
