hello first off i will say that i should be considered as handicapped when it comes to web development, unfortunately i was conned by this site obviously like many others i thought i was sending my domain to wordpress.org, after realisimg my mistake i tried to transfer my domain back to my original provider but could not transfer it as it had a lock placed on it for a period of time. i then stupidly thought that i was deleting the domain from my account and therefore it would be sent back to the orginal host. i then deleted my wordpress acount and asked for a refund. Now when i try to log back in it says that my original domain bayplumbingservices.com is already being used on another wordopress site.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there.
When a domain gets transferred between registrars, ICANN (the global body that oversees domain registrations) requires a 60-day waiting period before that domain can be transferred again. This is a security measure that applies across the entire internet, not just WordPress.com, and it’s why the domain showed as locked when you tried to move it back. You can read more about how this works in our guide on transferring a domain to another registrar: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/transfer-domain-registration/
The important thing to know is that you don’t have to wait for that lock to expire to get your website working again. You can update the domain’s nameservers right now to point bayplumbingservices.com back to your original hosting provider. Nameserver changes work completely independently of the transfer lock, so your site can be live on your original host within hours. Your hosting provider can give you the nameserver addresses to use, and our nameserver guide walks you through how to update them: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/change-name-servers/
Once the 60-day lock period passes, you’ll be able to complete a full transfer of the domain’s registration back to your original provider.
The good news is that when a WordPress.com account is deleted, it isn’t gone immediately. There’s a 30-day grace period during which the account and any related subscriptions can still be restored. When the deletion was processed, an email would have been sent to your account’s email address with the subject line “Your account [username] has been deleted,” and that email contains a “Restore account” button you can use to bring everything back.
Once your account is restored, you’ll be able to log in again, see your domain, and manage it from there. Our guide on account deletion and restoration walks through the full process: https://wordpress.com/support/close-account/
After you’ve restored your account, if you need any further help with the domain or run into the “already being used” message, please reach out to our support team directly at https://wordpress.com/help/contact so we can dig into the specifics with you. That kind of account-level troubleshooting is best handled through direct support rather than the public forums. You’re not stuck, and the domain hasn’t disappeared. Just get the account restored first, and we’ll take it from there.
