Domain Mappin

    I purchased domain mapping from you guys for my website which is sciedanet.org. I have the blog set up on the discussions link, which is sciedanet.org/discussions.html. I went through all the steps on the wordpress end and the godaddy end and just wanted to make sure that I am doing everything correctly. My goal is to have it set up so when somebocy tries to add a comment they will stay on my site and not be transferred over to wordpress. I am looking for as much simplicity as possible and I think people being taken away from my site will be a deterrent. So basically I need to know if I should have mapped it to sciedanet.org like I did, or if I should of mapped it to sciedanet.or/discussions.html. If I did do it wrong, how do I fix it?

    Hi there,

    I see that you cancelled your domain mapping purchase. Since you want to keep your main website at sciedanet.org, I recommend that you create a subdomain for your blog such as blog.sciedanet.org or discussions.sciedanet.org. You can map a subdomain to your WordPress.com blog using this guide: Map a Subdomain

    Then, users will see your WordPress.com site when they visit that subdomain, but it will still be linked to your root domain sciedanet.org. Please let me know if you have any questions about that!
