  Hello,
  I would like to link my current website with my blog, I just would like to make sure I am thinking about this the right way. I already own a domain. I dont want to change my domain, so I need to follow the sub domain mapping?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Yes sub-domain mapping – then it makes your blog part of your regular web site
