Domain Mapping

  I’ve registered my domain with another service and want to get the domain mapping upgrade. However, whenever I follow the prompts to buy the $13 upgrade for domain mapping, it takes me to the option to register a domain. How do I get just the mapping upgrade without registering a domain with wordpress? Thank you for your help.

  Just to be sure, are you following this guide http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/ ?

  If so, what is the domain name that you’re trying to map?

  Yes, I am using that guide. And as you can see, they have a hyperlink to register a domain but not to map one. (3rd paragraph vs 4th paragraph)

  It’s actually all the same system. Just add the domain where prompted, and if it’s already registered elsewhere, you’ll be prompted to map it, not register it.
