Domain mapping

  The domain bellerosejc.org is registered with Yahoo. The original wordpress site was set up by a college student who can no longer remember her password. While I am an admin on the site, if I try to map the domain to get the site up again, I get:

  This domain was recently in use by someone else and is not available to map yet. Please try again later or contact support.

  I figured the message was because I didn’t originally map it with my login. The mapping expired 8/16 and we really need to get this fixed asap. Can anyone help me fix this? Thanks

  Hi there,

  On what site are you trying to map that domain? http://mexitup.wordpress.com/ is not the same site as the one to which that domain was connected until recently.

  I can help you manually connect the domain to the same site it was connected to before using a different account, but we no longer sell domain mapping as a stand-alone upgrade, and as the original owner has let the old domain mapping upgrade expire, it now requires one of our paid plans to add the domain mapping back. So I’ll also need you to first purchase a plan for the site at My Site ->Plans. Then let me know which site and I can get the mapping working for you again.

  Ok I bought a plan, but it forced me to choose iberzon.blog as my site rather than iberzon.wordpress.com.

  That is so not what I need. I need to have iberzon.wordpress.com as my site, mapping to bellerosejc.org.

  Help me please!

  Hi @prgillespie, got it. It shouldn’t have forced you to add a new domain, so we’ve cancelled that for you. Please let us know right away if you want to keep iberzon.blog after all.

  For now though, I’ve moved the plan to the correct site and added the domain to it. If it’s not working on your end yet, please quit then re-open your browser. Let us know if you still need help after that. Cheers!
