Domain Mapping

    I’d like to build the new website in draft mode before transferring the domain – is this possible? I am not sure how long it will take me to build and I do not want to disrupt the operational website in the meantime.

    Hi there,

    If you want to work on the website without it being live, the best thing to do is to set the site to private. That way no one can view the site unless you invite them to, but at the same time, you can work on it to completion.

    To set your blog to private, go to Settings > Reading on your dashboard, and click the radio button next to I would like my site to be private, visible only to users I choose.
