  I purchased my domain through GoDaddy and linked it to WordPress five years ago. Last year, I stopped updating my website, but now I want to become active again. For some reason, I can’t access the site for my domain–only the free WordPress version which I never used. How come they have become unlinked?

  Hi there,

  kjstine.com is hosted by GoDaddy. Are you referring to some other website?

  kjstine1031 glad you’ve got it. If it helps, WordPress.com is a managed hosting service, GoDaddy is a hosting service.

  WordPress.org is free software you can install there or use here, where we support and maintain the installation for you as part of our service. Sorry it’s a bit confusing.
