Domain mapping

  I already have a domain name with go daddy. Do I have to pay more through word press to use the domain mapping feature? I’m just confused as to whether I should transfer my domain name or do the mapping

  Hi there,

  To use your own domain on WordPress.com requires one of our paid plans, yes.

  You have a choice to either keep the domain registered at GoDaddy and just map it to us, or to transfer it to us completely.

  Mapping doesn’t cost anything extra on top of the plan.

  Transferring is free for one domain, and includes an additional renewal of the domain. Future renewals would be an additional cost on top of the plan renewal.
