domain mapping

Hi, my website no longer works and I see the following error message…
Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.
Ive logged in and it says my domain is active (but I could be looking in the wrong section).
Could you tell me what I need to do to get my website online again.

never done this before so not sure if Im doing the right thing by adding here. But I have found the domain mapping section and I am trying to re add/map the existing domain name that I own through go daddy, but the page goes nowhere???

You will need the Domain Mapping upgrade to do that. Domain Mapping is included in all WordPress.com paid plans:

Once you have purchased a plan, here is a support document that will explain how to set up Domain Mapping with your domain:

If you follow the mapping instructions without having purchased a WordPress.com plan, you will see that “domain mapping upgrade not found” message.

Hi and thank you for your reply. So what Im confused about is that I have an existing custom domain name (that I get from go daddy). This is not something new that Im trying to do, I must have mapped this when I set up the site 4 years ago. Its worked perfectly up to now. Whats changed that suddenly it doesnt? Is this a new policy from wordpress or has something gone wrong with my account?
