Domain Mapping
-
Hi,
I recently created a blog on WordPress and I bought the domain name misseatalot.com with Go Daddy. I think I accidentally mapped the domain name with a previous blog I had on WordPress which now I have deleted.
I tried to create a new blog and used the domain name misseatalot.com but it keeps telling me that the “The domain name you entered is already mapped to a WordPress.com blog.” I was wondering if there a way that this could be rectified?
Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I just removed the two domains you had mapped to that deleted blog, and gave you credit for the domain upgrades you purchased, so you can map them to different blogs now.
If you’d prefer a refund instead of a credit, or if I can do anything more to help, please let me know! :)

Hi again,
I mapped my domain to the wordpress site, but everytime I go to the domain url it’s blank (even though the wordpress url works). Is there something I must do? I know that the domain is activated.
Also, a refund would be good instead of the credit.
Thanks!

Hi there,
The new domain mapping upgrade for misseatalot.com is set up at WordPress.com, but your domain isn’t pointed to WordPress.com yet — that’s why it’s showing up blank when you visit the domain.
To finish pointing the domain to WordPress.com, you’ll need to change the domain’s name servers to these:
- NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
- NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
- NS3.WORDPRESS.COM
Your domain registrar can help you with that step, if you’re not sure how. We also have full details in our guide to Map an Existing Domain.
Also, a refund would be good instead of the credit.
Sure thing! I just refunded the second domain mapping upgrade you aren’t using. Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)
