Domain Mapping and Expired Blog

    Help appreciated!

    I own champagnefootball.com which is a domain purchased with a third party company, Domain Club. I redirected the DNS’s to WordPress, purchased the WordPress Domain Mapping, and for the past 12 months everything has been peachy.

    Gmail spammed the emails from Domain Club asking to renew the domain, and the site went down on the weekend.

    I have now renewed the champagnefootball.com with Domain Club, but the site still isn’t working. I’m not sure what to do.

    I’m thinking about deleted the domain on WordPress and re-adding it, but that means I’ll loose the money I paid to domain map it and will have to pay again. Would like to avoid this if I can!

    DON’T DELETE THE SITE!!

    Deleting a domain here is real bad in many ways – if your domain name went away and the name server info that pointed to WordPress.COM stopped then it can take 24 to 72 hours for the new information to spread to the far corners of the internet pipes.

    http://champagnefootball.net/ loads fine for me with an Aug 28 Post

    I think I have a similar problem. I changed the Site Address, under te WP General settings and now everytime I go to log-in using my http://sitedomain.com/wp-admin it redirects me to the generic WordPress site. how do I change the Site Address URL back on my domain/wp-admin login back to what it was originally?

    Those magic words make me think you are in the wrong forum as that menu setting does not exist for WordPress.COM blogs – please see below for more info. If you still think you are hosted on WordPress.COM we need a link to the blog in question to provide you with accurate help.

    The site you are asking about does not seem to be hosted on WordPress.COM so you need to make friends over at WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using.
