Domain mapping expired with no option to renew!
-
A colleague set-up our domain mapping on our wordpress site. This has since expired and I don’t have the option in ‘Manage Domains’ to renew.
Can someone help?

You need to be logged in as the account that bought an upgrade to renew it or have the person that set up the upgrade transfer it to you (requires staff help) –
For domain mapping the other option is if it has expired you should be able to just buy it again – however remember the domain name also needs to be renewed

Can the domain name be purchased through wordpress rather than renewed through the original place of purchase? My case is a little different in that mine expired in April and I would like to just purchase the domain for my blog through WP because it is cheaper than purchasing elsewhere and then mapping.

Yes, it is available for purchase. But because I had it mapped to WP previously and it shows up in my string of domains in the Store->Domains, it will not let me add it. I get the message: ” This domain has already been mapped to a WordPress.com blog.”
