Domain mapping not working with 1and1 hosting

Hi there! I have a domain (www.chimpspanner.com) registered with http://www.1and1.co.uk. I have put in the WordPress name servers; ns1.wordpress.com, ns2 and ns3.
I have then selected http://www.chimpspanner.com as the Primary Domain in WordPress. However, I’m still receiving an error message from my old domain. I’ve also tried configuring Destination Forwarding at 1and1.co.uk whereby http://www.chimpspanner.com should redirect to thechimpspanner.wordpress.com but it still does not work. What am I missing here?
The strangest thing is that it was working for a few minutes on my computer (but not my friend’s). Then it worked on my friend’s, but not mine. Now it works on neither!

Your domain is working just fine for me here: http://chimpspanner.com/
When you make domain changes like this, it can take 2-3 days for the changes to take full effect. (This process is called domain propagation.) In the meantime, you may see the domain switch back and forth between your old and new settings. Don’t worry — everything is set up correctly and should start working for you soon!

Hi! Thanks so much for the quick reply. I checked it this morning (after clearing my internet cache and flushing dns) and yep, it’s all working perfectly fine. I’ve never really messed around with DNS stuff before so I wasn’t aware how long it’d take.
