Domain mapping questions
-
I created a wordpress.com blog recently and purchased domain mapping to a domain I already owned (uz00.com).
Everything was configured properly, and when I type in uz00.com on my browser’s URL bar it takes me to my blog at uz00.wordpress.com. Perfect.
But that’s not URL mapping, is it? That’s URL redirection, no? When I type uz00.com and I land on my blog, the address at the URL bar changes to uz00.wordpress.com.
If the URL was mapped, the uz00.wordpress.com URL would never be visible, and the user would only see the uz00.com URL (and the uz00.com/* variations).
Does wordpress.com supports proper mapping or only redirection?
Thanks!
BernardoThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Did you set uz00.com as the primary blog?
It can also take 24 to 72 hours for the changes to migrate all across the internet
Yes WordPress.COM does proper domain mapping – my domain is mapped.

Thanks auxclass! I didn’t set it as the primary domain, I didn’t know I had to do that manually. It works now!
