Domain mapping upgrade

  • Unknown's avatar

I had my site on WordPress account and I transfered my domain to Google Domains, set up the DNS to use that domain on Hostinger.

Now when I try to view the domain I get this error message which routes me back to the WordPress site: ‘Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain. ‘ all is good on Hostinger so how do I fix things at WordPress?

  • What is the domain name?

    apprendrealamexicaine.com.mx

  • Thanks @karenrgaste, do you have a site with us that you’d like to point that to, or do you have a website with another host?

If it’s with another host, can you find out their namesever settings and set those up in your current registrar?

If it’s hosted here with us, can you give us the underlying address — usually ending in .wordpress.com ? I wasn’t able to see any sites on this account, but if we know the address we can likely find it.

It’s on another host. Yes, i already set those up, but i don’t know why I have this problem.

Today, I transfer my domain from WordPress to Google Domains, and I delete my Premium subscription with WordPress.

    It was: https://apprendrealamexicaine.wordpress.com

  • OK. Do you want to use apprendrealamexicaine.wordpress.com still? If so, buy a plan and we’ll go from there.

    If not,

    1) Contact your new host. Ask for their name servers.

    2) Log into Google Domains and update the settings there.

    3) Wait a few hours and you should be good to go.
