  Hello, I recently purchased a domain and premium account with word press and refunded both purchases. However, now the domain name I purchased and refunded through this site is not available for me to purchase.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hey there,

  If you’re wanting to reuse your domain at a different host, you should never cancel it at your current host because once you decide to cancel your domain, there is no guarantee that you will be able to reacquire it in the future. Someone else could gain access to it. Also, it usually takes a few weeks for your domain registration to clear and become available once you cancel it. There isn’t an exact time, however, so you’ll be checking consistently to see when it becomes available.

  If you want to keep using your domain but you don’t want to use WordPress.com anymore, you don’t have to cancel it. Instead, you can move the domain to another site

  If you recently registered the domain, you have to wait 60 days before you are able to transfer your domain to a different host, but in the meantime, you can use the domain with your site by pointing the nameservers over to your new host:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/change-name-servers/
