Hi. I have paid for my own domain name with another host. In the past I have paid around £11.00 to map this domain to WordPress.com. Now I can see that I am being charged £85 and beneath this it has £11 ruled out and replaced with free. Yet, I am still being told I have no option to pay £85. Why the price hike? I am really confused about what is happening here. Can you explain and resolve please? Thanks.

Hi there,
We stopped selling domain mapping as a separate upgrade about two year ago. Accounts that already own at least one domain or domain mapping upgrade can continue using those without a plan. But new accounts and first-time upgrade purchasers can only add mapping as part of a paid plan. Once you’ve added a plan with the included free domain, you can add as many additional domain mappings as you want to the site at the £11 cost.
The Premium Plan is selected by default if you try to add a domain, but you can also add it as part of the cheaper Personal Plan by first adding the plan at My Site ->Plans.
