Hello,
I formerly owned a domain, released it, and wanted to repurchase it through wordpress. It still is saying that it is owned, but I know that it is not. Can you please help me expedite this process?

Of what domain are you speaking?
When you cancel a domain you are not releasing it. All cancelling does is to give up ownership of it. Only the registry that controls the domain can release it.
Cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all. You should never cancel a domain that you still want to use, as there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to use it again somewhere else in future.
What is the domain you’re trying to register? If it’s not available, please contact your domain provider where you used to have that domain to find out if they are still able to restore it to your account with them. Once they’ve done that, you can then transfer it to us.
