  Hi. I recently had a domain name with you you ( http://www.footdocdpm.com ). However, I’ve canceled my service with you guys. Will the domain name be available to grab again with another service such as godaddy? I looked and it said it was still taken

  Hi there,

  Cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all. You should never cancel a domain that you still want to use, as there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to use it again somewhere else in future.

  As you only cancelled this domain after it had already renewed, it won’t become available again until some time after it expires in March 2020.

  But we can still restore it to your account. Once it’s restored you’ll then be able to transfer it to GoDaddy instead. I see you didn’t receive a refund for the domain portion of your recent renewal payment when you cancelled, so there is no additional fee to restore the domain.

  Please confirm if I should proceed with that.
