  I currently own a domain name but it is not active, so I don’t need to transfer it I just want to assign it to this website.

  Hi there,

  What is the name of the domain and where is/was it hosted? Is it currently hosted here? It’s not connected to your account, and you don’t have any WordPress.com sites under this account, so either both the site and domain are under a different account or you will need to transfer the domain from somewhere else to use it with your current account.
