  I amended my wordpress site domain name in error and now it says my site is deleted and I can no longer use my name as my domain name. I need my original name back – how can I do this? Thank you

  Hi there @sefish, the site content should not be deleted, but the old name is.

  If you’ll let us know the old name, we’ll check to see if it’s possible to un-delete it for you. You would need to move the content back, though, if you’ve decided to use that name instead of the new one.

  The site was definitely in our recovery window and has been recovered and returned to your account.

  To move your content back to the old site, first export it from the new site: https://en.support.wordpress.com/export/

  Then, import it to the old site using the WordPress importer: https://en.support.wordpress.com/import/

  Oh my gosh, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! You have saved my bacon and made me a very happy bunny!!!

  However, it’s still showing as deleted and it’s not yet in my list of sites yet?? Will it do that automatically? Or do I need to do something??

  Also do I have a time limit to do the export and import thing?

  Hi there,

  It looks like you weren’t properly added back as an admin to the site. I’ve fixed that, so you should now see it.

  Once you’ve moved your content back to the old site, also let us know if you want us to move your stats or any followers back. Post likes, unfortunately, cannot be moved back.
