Domain Name

    my domain can’t go live. I had the domain on another site but I just cancelled it in hopes that I could buy the same one through wordpress. I want my site name to be theerichammer.com instead of theerichammer.wordpress.com.

    The domain theerichammer.com is currently not available to be registered here at WordPress.com, because it is still being held by the previous domain registrar. You can see details about the domain registration here:

    If you want to keep using this domain, I recommend contacting your previous domain registrar to see if you can recover the domain and keep it registered with them. You can then use the domain mapping upgrade you purchased here at WordPress.com to point your domain at your site here.
