  I’m ready to set up my blog and when I entered my domain name it wouldn’t let me proceed saying the name was already registered. I am the one who registered it on 1/30/20. What do I do next?

  Hi there,

  What is the domain, and what site are you trying to use it with? The account you’re using to post here doesn’t own any WordPress.com sites.

  If you’re trying to create a new site, and you see that error when you type your domain into the search box in the domains step, then that’s expected. That search box checks whether or not a domain is available for registration, and if you already own the domain, it means it’s not available for registration.

  Instead of searching for a domain, click the option that says you want to use a domain you already own. That will then give you the option to either transfer or map the domain to us.
