  I guess if you want your free site, it’s elainebriggs.com.wordpress.com? And if you want to pay for it, it’s $18 a year and it’s elainebriggs.com?

  Are those two statements correct?

  Howdy there! It’ll be something like elainebriggs.wordpress.com when you sign-up to build a free page. The paid tiers will give you differing benefits, but the first thing you’ll notice is by purchasing a plan you are getting your domain name for a year. This will allow you to remove the “.wordpress.com” and make it “elainebriggs.com”. Those tiers start at only $4 per month.
