Domain name already taken

  I have recently registered a new free domain. The free domain name that I really wanted though was already taken. I have looked it up and it was created in 2008 and has zero content. Please could I discuss the possibility of obtaining this name with someone at WordPress? Thank you.

  Hi there,

  If an address already exists it means it belongs to someone, and only that person can give it to someone else.

  We do not take someone’s site away from them to give it to someone else under any circumstances, including inactivity. We do not make any exceptions to this.
