Domain name for new site

Hi, I have signed up for a new wordpress account. My main objective is to create a Blog site. When I go through the process of signing up, I am asked for a domain name.
I type in ‘Life beyond cancer’ I get a list of domain names, one of them which I like is ‘lifebeyondcancer.blog’ So I choose this one.
However when I then get taken to the next page, it tells me that the URL is actually ‘lifebeyondcancerdotblog’ Which I absolutely don’t like. I would be quite happy to pay for the personal site if I knew for sure I would be able to change the URL through which people access the site, but I won’t know until I pay.
Basically, I want the domain that just says ‘lifebeyondcancer.wordpress.com’ or ‘lifebeyondcancer.blog’ or anything along those lines…. but not ….dotblog
Does anyone know what domain name I will end up with? I don’t seem to be able to find any email address for sales / presales support for wordpress.
Hence posting on the forum.

Hi there,
Are you typing in lifebeyondcancer in the field without the “.org”. That is most likely the reason you are receiving the lifebeyondcancerdotblog URL.
Please try it without .org and let me know if that works.

Thanks for the response. I have figured it out. There is an option to change the domain name and then delete the old one. It is in the admin settings. It says you can only do this once. So I managed to do it, although ‘lifebeyondcancer’ was taken so I had to choose an alternative.
