Domain Name Help

  I no longer have a site on wordpress. I am trying to access my domain so I can update email address info. It referred me back here. What should I do in order to access my domain?

  Hi there,

  What domain are you trying to access? The account you’re using to post here was created only three days ago, and has never owned any domains on WordPress.com.

  The domain is notyouraveragevegans.com. I purchased it through WordPress about 2 years ago. I never did anything with the site but I renewed the domain name, then closed by account/page. Now that I am ready to start using it, I have no way to manage my domain.

  https://notyouraveragevegans.com/ is still active here, but it belongs to a different WordPress.com account.

  You’ll need to be logged in under the correct account. If you don’t recall the password, we have some options at https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/

  It was my old account. I closed it. When I tried to manage my domain, I thought that by creating a new WordPress account I could try to relink it but I was unsuccessful. I tried using the registrar info at ICCAN, but my inquiry went to WordPress, and then a generic email was sent to me notifying me that someone is interested in my domain, and it’s me. So there is some type of weird loop happening that I am not able to penetrate.

  The account which owns that site is still open, it hasn’t been closed.

  I purchased the notyouraveragevegans.com site (not notyouraverageveganscom.wordpress).
  The .wordpress is the one associated with the account I just made this week because I was hoping to link with my .com domain.
  The original .com domain is registered via wildwestdomains.com through wordpress. That’s the one I’m talking about.

  notyouraveragevegans.com is attached to notyouraveragevegans.wordpress.com (domains managed at WordPress.com need to be attached to WordPress.com sites).

  Wild West Domains is our registrar partner.

  To control notyouraveragevegans.com you’ll need to log in under the WordPress.com account which owns both notyouraveragevegans.com and notyouraveragevegans.wordpress.com there is no other alternative.

  That account is not the one you’re currently logged into.
